Cabinet Manufacture

Our motivation to build cabinets comes from extensive electrical engineering and EPLAN know-how. We have created as much as we can that supports a lean manufacturing process, allowing us to save time. This leads to exceptional quality.

There is nothing healthier for the designer to get discombobulated by his own cabinet

Cabinet Machining

Cabinet drilling, cutouts and mechanical processing are standard cabinet building processes. Our approach is set up to cut and drill cabinets with the design data of precision engineering automatically. Our supplier delivers empty cabinets with all cutouts.

Labels

Labels that are too big for a single component, that impair the ability to read component texts, misplaced labels, or printed inconsistency are regular occurrences in the industry. It is, however, not our way of working.

When we build cabinets all our labels are placed with a healthy hand to eye coordination. We use THERMOMARK CARD 2.0 and our first choice of terminals is Phoenix Contact.

Assembly

To make assembly go swimmingly we invest time in pre-assembly. Such a process only works when the designer thinks about assembly and he is directly involved in it. Our pre-assembly is a state-of-the-art approach, which makes assembly simply just another Lego work.

Testing

To identify and correct errors, we use yet another state-of-the-art hardware inspection procedure. Before the cabinet assembly starts, the hardware inspection report gives us an overview of the component connections and flags what can potentially go wrong. It allows us to correct the project before it is issued for assembly.

When the time comes for inspection, the inspection documentation is updated and it then captures the latest modifications and corrections. Without manual micromanagement it gives us a full status report of the system that needs to be inspected. Because the inspection process is very efficient and quick, there is no motivation to cut corners.

Mobile Workstation

Developed and manufactured by 81346 eLab with EPLAN eVIEW in mind, our mobile workstation is a new way to bring class to cabinet building. Whether you need to leave a comment on the circuit drawings, use redlining or greenlining in EPLAN eVIEW, chat with your team or simply use the internet while building a cabinet or a machine, the mobile workstation is the answer. Its specification is 27'' touchscreen, i7 8GB DDR4, 32GB memory.

Can design engineers work on the factory floor and update documents after FAT in real time? Not only can, but they should. Using the mobile workstation this task is a breeze. You have questions, you walk a few meters, check the cabinet and everything is clear. You can speak with cabinet builders and both give and receive feedback.

Standard Components

To be able to offer the best quality we have to use component manufacturers that enable the precision required for excellent engineering. As standard we use Siemens, Phoenix Contact, and Rittal components. As much as possible we try to use components without screw connections.

CadCabel

We use and recommend CadCabel - a systems provider using bundle technology for control cabinet wiring. You will benefit in a number of ways:

  • Quality: You will be using the highest quality wires;
  • Labour costs: You will have minimum wiring time;
  • Labelling: ink printed texts with automatically applied white wrap labels or other labels added such as sleeves;
  • Certification: UL ZPFW2.E469685 - Wiring Harnesses.
